WE NEED THE FOLLOWING ITEMS - Laundry Detergent,
Paper Towel, Toilet paper, Fruit & Snacks. Please help us
have enough prizes for all of those who participate!
First Church will be participating Again in the Memorial Day
Parade on May 26, 2008. We want to distribute bottled water
to the spectators and WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!! Please donate
a case or two of small (6-8oz) bottled water. The small bottles
allow us to carry more water to more folks. We will store the
bottles in the hallway closets outside the Friendship Room.
It’s always a blessing when you so generously support the
efforts of the church.
NEW SERVICE - "Breathe" on Wednesday evenings, beginning
April 16th. The service will begin at 6:45 p.m. and last until 7:30
p.m. This service is for all who may not be able to attend worship
on Sunday mornings. We need volunteers for Child Care,
Greeters and Audio Visual. Please sign up at the bulletin board
outside the church office to help.
Second Harvest Tailgate - Free food will be
distributed from the tailgate of the Second Harvest
Food Bank truck, the third Friday of each month at the Moose Family Center, 605 New York
Ave, New Castle. No income verification required. It
begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 11:00 a.m. (unless
food supply runs out before then). Up to three
families (when each has representation in a car) may
receive food. Questions, call Second Harvest at

ATTENTION! -If you still have Baby Bottles out from the fundraiser for the Henry County Pregnancy Care Center please return them to the church office, even if they are not filled, so that they can be used again next year.
HENRY COUNTY PREGNANCY CARE CENTER "BABY BOTTLE" FUNDRAISER - Please help support this very important ministry by picking up your empty baby bottle at one of our church entrances as you leave and bring back filled with your loose change that will then be given to the center to help them continue to reach out.

ANGEL --Make a wish come true for an isolated senior citizen. Help isolated and frail elderly have a better holiday.
DONATIONS NEEDED
Bath soap, hand lotion, shampoo, deodorant, Depends, denture cleaner and other toiletry items.
Household cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, fabric softener, dish washing liquid
Robes, sleep wear and sweat suits of all sizes
Food (especially protein like peanut butter, tuna and canned items)
Towels, washcloths and blankets
Cash donations are welcomed and will be used to fulfill special needs.
Please, no over the counter medications such as Tylenol, cough drops, etc or used and open items.
Donations will be accepted October 1st through November 30th. Items can be dropped off at the following locations:

NEED TRANSPORTATION? - There is a service available! The New Interurban for the Henry County area, M-F 7am-6pm. If you are 60 years old & older you can ride for the cost of just a donation. For 59 and under it is $3.00 per trip or you can purchase a Frequent Rider pass for only $20.00 a month. They need AT LEAST a 24 hour notice but more if you can give it. The toll free number to call for this service is, 1-888-589-1121.
A NEW TASK FORCE is being organized to visit with our home-bound members, both permanent and temporary. We need interested men & women to sign up. Also, if you are available to help with transportation for medical appts., etc. for those unable to drive, please indicate that as well. A sign-up sheet will be on the Communication Center booth. DON’T FORGET! There is a prayer journal in the library for anyone to record prayer concerns. If you have a prayer concern please stop by and write it in the prayer journal. Also, if you have an announcement for the church, please write it out on a 3X5 card and give it to the Worship Leader or Rev. Tom.
